Role Description:

These essential functions are primary job duties that candidates must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation. We are currently looking for a Sr. Software Engineer with significant technical background to fulfill the following objectives:

Software Developement (70%)

Program in Java on Windows/Unix.

Prototype Development for demos.

Follow through with customer requirements and functional specifications analysis.

Responsible for application and framework design, development, deployment and testing.

Communications (30%)

Requirements Analysis to ensure development of customer needs.

Experience in having worked in a multi-site environment is a plus.

Write reports or documentation as necessary.

Present work and demos.

Ideal Candidate should possess the following Qualifications:

BS / Masters Degree in Computer Science.

Minimum of 4 years of software development experience.

Full exposure to a complete software development cycle (from business requirements to release and upgrades/maintenance).

Technical skills:UML/ Object-Oriented Methodology, design patterns

JAVA/J2EE (EJB, Servlets/JSP/taglibs, JDBC, RMI, JNI, threads)

Web/Application servers (Tomcat, Apache, Weblogic)

XML (XML Schema, XSL/XSLT)

Web Services (SOAP, WSDL, UDDI)

Versioning Tools (Perforce/ClearCase, CVS, PVCS),

Tools make/ant, jUnit, Software IDE’s (Eclipse)

Databases MS SQL Server 2000, Oracle

Strong interpersonal, analytical and logical skills

Maturity to work through the organization to accomplish goals.

Ability to work closely with team members and other functional organizations.

Self-starter who is highly organized, learns quickly, and is a team player.
